THE MEN OF MOUSTIQUE
As Maître (Jelmer) and Head Chef (Jesse), we worked together for a number of years at De Vrienden van Jacob(*), part of the Duin & Kruidberg Estate.
Right from the start of this collaboration, we shared our ambitions with one another: to open our own restaurant. Following the well-known saying ‘we can always have a cup of coffee’, we set about realising our plan to join forces as host and chef.

Met mijn dochter op het terras geluncht. Lunchmogeljjkheden zijn broodjes en salades of het verrassingsmenu (twee tot vier gangen). Daarbij kun je aangeven waar je niet van houdt. Als je even doorvraagt, hoor he ook wat het menu van de dag inhoudt, We kozen voor drie gangen, een voorgerecht met gerookte harder, getrancheerde entrecote als hoofdgerecht. Voor dochterlief zoet na en voor mij de kazen. Er verschenen twee smakelijke amuses met een schaaltje superverse focaccia met heerlijke boter, ik meen met basikicum. De bediening was vlot en relaxed, maar tegelijk ook correct. Er werd goed meegedacht met de wijnkeuze. Voelde ook de sfeer goed aan en maakte dat het ook voir mijn dochter een ontspannen ervaring was, hulde. De gerechten waren smakelijk en de borden fraai opgemaakt. Mede dankzij de Chassange Montrachet en de Margaux niet de goedkoopste lunch, maar het feld meer dan waard. Aanrader!
